Elanders and Flextronics have Signed a Collaboration Agreement and Will Set Up Business in Hungary
KUNGSBACKA, Sweden--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 27, 2001--Elanders and
Flextronics have signed a business agreement and a strategic alliance
contract that makes Elanders a preferred supplier to Flextronics in
Europe concerning products relating to Ericsson mobile phones. As a
result, Elanders will set up a production facility in Hungary
connected to Flextronics' product completion centre, from where
Ericsson mobile telephones will be delivered to the European market.
Production is expected to be up and running by the end of this year.
Elanders' business area Infologistics has been a main supplier of
telephone manuals to Ericsson for many years and after Flextronics
took over these operations it was natural for the two companies to
enter into a strategic alliance.
The decision to start operations in Hungary follows Elanders'
strategy to expand internationally together with its customers.
Elanders is currently one of Europe's leading producers of
technical documentation with the explicit goal of further
strengthening this position.
